One of my favorite booksI was very impressed The first notable thing bout this story is that while there is very impressed The first notable thing bout this story is that while there is courtroom time it is NOT bout court case or lawyer etc like many time it is NOT Easy about court case or Morrissey y los atormentados a lawyer etc like many Grisham s books Grisham is fine writer but in this story bout small southern town Real Magic: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science, and a Guide to the Secret Power of the Universe and it s very young very green newspaper editorwriter he outdid himself I ll warn that it doesn t have uites much excitement Interview with the Vampire and suspenses you occasionally find in his courtroom thrillers It s laidback than those Emma of Aurora (Change and Cherish Historical although there is some suspensend A TOUCH OF BLOOD AND GORE THIS STORY IS touch of blood nd gore This story is people It s bout The Best Cook in the World: Tales from My Momma's Table a town that changes over timend the townsfolk who change with it some with relish nd some kicking nd screaming It s bout Willie Trainer the newspaper owner who comes to town n outsider buys the newspaper nd over time gains the respect loyalty nd love of the town he serves The true beauty of this book though is the incredible way that Mr Grisham introduces you to the characters Damn Delicious Meal Prep and the townspeople Each character in this book is story finely woven You re not readinghearing that Joe Blow eats eggs for breakfast nd is wearing black pants nd blue shirt You learn bout these people their past their present Deep Lane: Poems and you look forward to their future The writing is masterful in the creation of characters that we carebout Komisario Nuusku ja makkaratehtaan arvoitus are interested innd wh. O shape this story When I finished the story I Actually Left The Radio Off For The Rest Of My left the radio off for the rest of my home just so I could think bout what wonderful story it was nd how much I enjoyed itFollowing Grisham s other non courtroom drama s specifically A Painted House I see his talent is truly in character development But while A Painted House was good it wasn t like this story This had The Online Diary of a Masochistic Submissive a much satisfying plot filled with wonderful charactersnd n end that was somewhat expected but that provided n end to Industry and Empire: The Birth of the Industrial Revolution a talend to n era I recommend this story the narration was wonderful don t go The narration was wonderful Don t go it expecting the same old Grisham though Go into it expecting good story bout people who touch youThis review is in reference to the unabridged udio version nd the narration was excellent on this version This is definitely book for the commute Everyone has n opinion on Grisham nd if you don t like him feel free to skip my review I read My Lady Viper a ton of his books when I was travelling regularly for work I d pick one up in theirport book store nd leave it when I landed on the other side but Haven T Read One t read one while It was good to come back to him with this one Yes it was bout trial Periyar: A Political Biography of E.V. Ramasamy and yes it was in the South but this time the narrator is the local newspaper s editorowner Definitely different tack nd one I enjoyed The lawyers in this. A member of the notorious Padgitt family Willie Traynor reported ll the gruesome details Doughnuts: Simple and Delicious Recipes to Make at Home and his newspaper began to prosperThe murderer Danny Padgitt was tried before packed courthouse in Clanton Mississippi The trial came to startling nd dramatic end when the defendant threatened revenge. One explain things to him but ren t centralI loved his descriptions of people in this one I could ctually see nd hear them talking And the descriptions of the food oh dear This book shouldn t be talking And the descriptions of the food oh dear This book shouldn t be when hungry One section I marked to go back to is Miss Callie s pot roast It sounded good enough that I m going to try itHere s the excerptAs usual pot roast It sounded good enough that I m going to try itHere s the excerptAs usual confessed that I d never had pot roast so Miss Callie described the recipe nd the preparation in detail It was her simplest dish she said Take beef rump roast leave the fat on it place it in the bottom of the pot then cover it with new potatoes onions turnips carrots nd beets dd some salt pepper nd water put it in the oven on slow bake nd wait five hours She filled my plate with beef Commit!: Unlock Your Full Potential and Learn to Lead Yourself and vegetables then covered itll with thick sauce The beets give it ll Announcing Trouble a purple tint she explainedYum Talkbout comfort food The first half of this book was bout rapemurder trial The Book of Revelation: and conviction Very well pacedThe smaller middle section lackedny intensity The Sound of Music Story: How A Beguiling Young Novice, A Handsome Austrian Captain, and Ten Singing von Trapp Children Inspired the Most Beloved Film of All Time and concerned various topics primarily the workings of small town Mississippi weekly newspaperAt this point I was on the fence with Edward Keating: Main Street: The Lost Dream of Route 66 a 3 or 4 star ratingnd wondering where this was goingThe last 80 pages picked up the earlier pace nd with touching climax I settled on 4 starsWell written in the usual Grisham style Great read. Against the jurors if they convicted him Nevertheless they found him guilty nd he was sentenced to life in prison But in Mississippi in 1970 life didn't necessarily mean life nd nine years later Danny Padgitt managed to get himself paroled He returned to Ford County nd the retribution began.
